Anthropic's Claude Just Revolutionized Video Creation!
I created a professional showcase video with one prompt using Claude's new Remotion skill. No editing software, no technical skills—just conversation. Here's how.
Anthropic's Claude Just Revolutionized Video Creation!
How I Created a Professional Showcase Video with One Single Prompt
I just discovered Claude's new Remotion skill, and it's completely changing how we think about video production. As someone who's spent years building automation workflows and exploring AI tooling, this might be the most exciting development I've seen in content creation.
The One-Prompt Test
I had to see if this was real. So I ran a simple test:
My prompt: "Create me a showcase video from this page"
I pointed Claude to my Being Labs service page. That's it. One sentence. No detailed instructions. No asset preparation. No video editing knowledge required.
What happened next blew my mind.
Claude scraped my website, pulled the copy, matched my brand colors, grabbed the assets, and generated a professional motion graphic video.
No timeline editing. No expensive software. No hours lost in rendering. Just conversation.
This is real. And it's available right now.
How Does This Actually Work?
Think of Claude as a master chef—incredibly talented, knows all the techniques, understands what works together. But here's the thing: even the best chef can't cook in an empty kitchen.
Skills are Claude's ingredients.
The Remotion skill gives Claude everything it needs to actually CREATE videos, not just describe them or theorize about them. It transforms Claude from a knowledgeable advisor into an actual video production assistant.
Three Levels of Video Creation Capability
Level 1: Basic Videos (Getting Started)
This is exactly what I did—the one-prompt showcase video.
The process:
- Point Claude to your content (website, document, brief)
- Ask for a video
- Watch Claude work its magic
Want to make changes?
- "Use this logo instead" → drag and drop the file
- "Move that text to the left" → just ask
- "Make it 30 seconds longer" → Claude adjusts
It's iterative, conversational, and incredibly fast.
Level 2: Skill Stacking (Professional Production)
This is where things get seriously powerful. You're not limited to just Remotion. You can combine multiple AI services:
Remotion → Video composition and motion graphics
ElevenLabs → AI voiceovers with natural-sounding narration
Banana Pro → AI-generated images and visuals
Your component library → Brand consistency across all videos
The result? Professional, branded videos with narration that perfectly match your style.
Example workflow: "Create a product demo video. Use our component library for UI elements, generate a voiceover explaining each feature with ElevenLabs V3, and create supporting graphics with Banana Pro."
Claude orchestrates all of these services, maintaining consistency and quality across the entire production.
Level 3: Full Production Pipeline (YouTube-Ready Content)
This is the most advanced use case, and it's being used to create actual YouTube videos right now.
The workflow:
- Feed Claude your script or outline → The full content structure
- Claude creates individual video segments → One for each section
- Drop in your recording → Your on-camera footage or screen recording
- Claude stitches everything together → Complete with transitions, graphics, and effects
The creator of the tutorial video I watched literally edited their entire YouTube video this way. What normally goes to professional editors was done entirely through prompting Claude.
Why This Matters for Automation Specialists
As someone deep in the automation world—working with n8n, Make, and various AI tools—I immediately see the workflow possibilities:
Auto-Generated Product Demos
Set up a workflow: When you push a new feature to production → Claude automatically creates a demo video showcasing it.
Programmatic Client Onboarding
New client signs up → Personalized onboarding video generated using their company info, brand colors, and specific use case.
Social Media Content Pipelines
Weekly analytics ready → Claude generates recap videos with voiceover, charts, and insights → Auto-posts to social channels.
Tutorial Video Generation
Update your app documentation → Automatically create corresponding tutorial videos without manual screen recording.
Client Showcase Videos
Land a new project → Point Claude to the client's website → Instant showcase video for your portfolio.
Festival Vendor Communications
In my festival management work, I could generate vendor onboarding videos, contract explanation videos, and promotional content—all automated based on vendor data.
The Bigger Picture: We're at an Inflection Point
Let's be honest about video content:
The reality:
- Video is the most engaging content format
- It drives the highest conversion rates
- Audiences prefer watching over reading
- Social algorithms favor video content
The problem (until now):
- Most time-intensive format to produce
- Requires specialized skills
- Expensive software and equipment
- High barrier to entry for non-professionals
What just changed: That barrier disappeared.
I went from "I need a showcase video" to having a professional-quality video in under 5 minutes.
Not a rough draft. Not a prototype. A usable, shareable, professional video.
The Technical Setup (Surprisingly Simple)
For anyone wanting to try this:
- Download Claude Desktop (Mac or Windows)
- Install the Remotion skill (one command line)
- Optional: Add API keys for additional services
- Wavespeed for ElevenLabs and Banana Pro integration
- Create an agent.md file for Claude to remember your preferences
That's it. No complex configuration. No steep learning curve.
Real-World Applications I'm Exploring
At Being Labs, I'm already planning several implementations:
Client Work:
- Automated product demo generation for SaaS clients
- Social media content creation workflows
- Client testimonial video production
Internal Projects:
- Tutorial videos for my iOS apps (Bondo, AppBlox)
- Educational content for my cryptocurrency trading bots
- Marketing videos for festival management CRM systems
Content Creation:
- YouTube video production automation
- LinkedIn video content pipelines
- Programmatic explainer videos
The Agent.md Secret Weapon
One clever technique: maintaining an agent.md file.
Think of it as Claude's notebook. You teach Claude something once: "When I ask for videos, use Remotion. For voiceovers, use ElevenLabs V3. For images, use Banana Pro with these style preferences."
Claude writes it down. Next time, it checks its notes and applies your preferences automatically.
This creates consistency across projects and eliminates repetitive instructions.
What This Means for the Future
We're watching a fundamental shift in content creation:
Before: Idea → Scripting → Filming → Editing → Rendering → Publishing
Now: Idea → Prompt → Video
The creative bottleneck just opened up.
What happens when:
- Every small business can create professional product videos?
- Marketing teams can test 50 video variations as easily as writing email copy?
- Educational content creators can focus on teaching instead of editing?
- Developers can document features with video as easily as writing docs?
We're about to find out.
My Challenge to You
What workflows would you build with this capability?
I'm serious. Take 5 minutes and think about:
- What videos have you been putting off creating?
- What content could you produce if video was as easy as writing text?
- What automation workflows become possible when video generation is programmable?
The tools are here. The barrier is gone.
The only question left: What will you create?
Want to explore this further? I'm documenting my experiments with Claude's Remotion skill and other automation workflows at Being Labs. Follow along as we push the boundaries of what's possible with AI-powered automation.
